The food at the Premier Inn Newcastle Airport is not only tasty but fantastic value too - especially if you're a kid. Adults can enjoy two courses for £11.95, while children can have a main course for £3.95 and a starter or dessert for just 75p.

Only certain dishes are included in the £11.95 offer, but with pub favourites, fish, pasta, pizzas, grills, burgers, salads and steaks on the menu, you'll not be short of options.

We might choose the breaded Camembert with salad and onion marmalade, followed by chicken makhani curry with basmati rice, naan bread and a side order of sweet potato and chickpea curry. And we'd definitely find room for tiramisu afterwards.

There's a good selection of dishes on the children's menu too, from fish and chips to minced beef and onion pie - and when you see them tucking into their banana, Belgian waffle and chocolate fondue dessert, you'll wish you were a kid again, too.

Anyone who likes to live by the saying 'eat breakfast like a king' would do well to come to the Premier Inn Newcastle Airport. The all-you-can-eat continental buffet costs just £5.25 and includes porridge, muffins, crumpets, croissants, berry compote, fresh fruit salad, granola, cereals, yogurts, dried fruit and toast.

For £8.25, you can add to that as many cooked items as you like - pork and vegetarian sausages, bacon, omelette, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fried eggs, boiled eggs, tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms. To drink, there's Costa coffee, various kinds of tea, and fruit juice. If you're in too much of a hurry for breakfast, the hotel offers a Grab and Go packed breakfast of a croissant with coffee or tea.

The hotel bar is open from 11am to 11pm.
